M&S Spirit of Summer Harissa Sweet Potato Crisps

These crisps are nice and crunchy, with a lovely flavour. I find the sweet potato quite sickly, though so I can't eat many of these. It would be nice to have these made with normal potatoes. However these are tasty and definitely worth a try.

M&S Spirit of Summer Coffee Eclairs

Another product from the Spirit of Summer range which I hope they won't discontinue. These eclairs were delicious; light choux pastry with plenty of creamy coffee mousse filling, a sweet glaze and rich chocolate ganache on top. I thought the glaze was a bit too sweet and perhaps unnecessary, but they were so delicious I am willing to overlook that! Would definitely buy again.

M&S Spirit Of Summer Passion Fruit Cake

I wasn't sure if I'd like this cake, as I thought the passion fruit would be too sharp tasting. However, the cake was amazing, absolutely delicious! Lovely buttery moist sponge, with lovely tangy but sweet passion fruit filling and creamy passion fruit butter cream with lashings of passion fruit sauce. This one is a definite winner, I just hope it remains a permanent feature in the cake aisle!

M&S Exotic Fruit Tarts

Very colourful exotic fruit tartlets with creme patissiere and light buttery pastry. These are very attractive looking with a nice variety of different fruits - kiwi, mango, pomegranate, raspberry and pineapple. The creme patissiere was very disappointing - very gloopy and had a very strong vanilla extract taste. The pastry was lovely, though. Very buttery and light. I wouldn't buy these again though as the creme patissiere was awful.

M&S Spirit of Summer Lamb Kofta and Yogurt Hand Cooked Crisps

These crisps were nice and crunchy and had quite a strong lamb flavour, but I couldn't taste the yogurt at all; it just tasted like a sour cream flavour. A little disappointing, I wouldn't buy them again.

M&S Spirit of Summer Tiramisu Cake

I have been dying to try this cake. I love Tiramisu and cake, so the two combined made me very happy. The sponge was lovely and moist, nice and light. The mascarpone cheese topping and filling was nice and creamy, although it didn't particularly taste of mascarpone. The chocolate layer of the sponge was nice and rich. However, the coffee flavour wasn't that strong, I felt it needed a more intense coffee flavour. Still worth a try, though.

M&S Spirit of Summer Caramelised Onion and Soignon Goat's Cheese Tartlets

These tartlets were quite nice. Light, buttery pastry with a lovely tangy caramelised onion topping. The goats cheese was lovely and creamy with the usual slight sweetness/tang of Goat's cheese. Very filling, too. I think there may have been too much of the caramelised onion as it was so rich. I ate them cold but I would love to try them hot.
